Personal Statement

I am 6'3" 215 lb. a Senior & will graduate at age 17. Carson has qualified for the 2011 California State High School Indoor T&F Meet Championships in the Weight Throw! Carson has also qualified for the Weight Throw in the New Balance 2011 Indoor High School Championships in New York City, March 11-13!! 3rd meet 1.28.11 Fresno Pacific College WT 66-00. Ranked #2 in California & #13 in the NATION www.runnerspace.com/hshammer!! SP 43-05.5 (PR), DT 151-01, HT 142-01. 2nd meet 1.15.11 at UC Davis HT 147-06. 1st meet of the year 12.11.10 at Fresno State University. HT 148-02 (PR), SP 40-07, DT 144-01, WT 51-06.5. Videos are at www.youtube.com (search troy99772). I ran a 4.99 40, bench 285, squat 385 & deadlift 445, cleans 225 4 sets of 5. I am in the Sonora High School Interact Club for 4 years. Vice President in 2008-2009 & President 2009-2011. We went to San Felipe Mexico March 27-31, 2010 to rehab a school and playground and I was the leader. Played football since 6th grade started 4 years. College of any size is good with me. I plan on being a valued asset to a College or University and providing points for my team and leadership as a Freshman! On 4.24.10 I won the gold medal, 154-10 in discus and beat my PR by 12-09. I improved 37ft 2in in the discus from 2009-2010! I am improving 25-32 feet per year and plan to break our schools record that has stood since 1978 of 172-07 feet! 5.1.10, 1st place in Discus gold medal and 3rd place in Shot bronze medal. 5.3.10, 1st place in Discus and 2nd in Shot. VOL League Finals 160-09 in Discus finished 2nd! Friday May 14 I competed against and threw after Martin Maric CAL graduate 2009 and he PR'd at 207ft and competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Bejing. Through all the pressure I still threw a 158-03 (all 6 throws were 150-00 to 158-03!)and finished 2nd to him, beating 8 College Throwers! D3 Championships were 5.20.10 and I finished 6th 152-11 and qualified for Masters (State Qualifing Meet) 5.28.10 in Sacramento. The Masters Meet on 5.28.10 threw 140-00, but I still got the experience and look forward to being back next year! I followed it up with another meet and got 3rd and threw 150-06 (lost to 2 guys that went to State)! Competed at the Golden West Invite in Folsom, CA. 2010 AAU West Coast Junior Olympic Games in Reno. I won GOLD in Discus and SILVER in Shot and qualified for the finals in Virginia!! Medal count is at 10!! Finally 7.9 to 7.11 2010 Pacific Association USATF Region 16 Junior Olympic Championships finished 3rd behind a guy that is attending Univ. of Arizona to throw and a Senior to be who made it to State! USATF National Finals bound in Sacramento end of July!!
