Simon Fuller '19 Recruiting Profile

Running on the cross country team, pushing my limits every day, encouraging my teammates and receiving their support, is showing me that giving my best all the time will get me to my goals. I've learned, through winning races and awards, that I can be special, and I feel blessed to be given that opportunity. Blessings confer obligations though, too, and it is my goal to help others achieve personal bests in athletics and academics through mentoring them on their own paths. In running, on the team, we learn to treat everyone with respect and empathy, and I try discover the similarities that connect us before I look for differences. My  credo is "Just walk a mile in his moccasins before you abuse, criticize and accuse" (Mary Lathrop).
