Caden Weadon '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Caden. Running has been a very big part of my life since I joined my Highschool Cross Country Team. Running has been a really great coping method for stress and anxiety. It also helped me gain more confidence in myself and be proud of my true self. I never really thought Freshman year I would be running a 5K in 27:30 to now, 16:25. But I can't take all the credit for it, my team and coaches keeps me going and keeps me pushing my limits. My family have been so supportive and I'm super grateful for it.

Why am I a good candid for your team, well because I always put in 110 precent into my running, but also my schoolwork. But when I'm not running, I'm always ready to cheer on my teammates and help them finish the race stronger. As a team I really believe that we push each other to be the strongest we can be and I know I can help push the team be the strongest, even if I’m not the fastest person on the team. 

I can’t wait to start my collage journey. I can’t wait to make new friends and memories. I especially can’t wait for all the blood, sweat, and tears I’ll put into whatever school I go to.
