Personal Statement

Hi, I’m Nolan. I am an avid cross country runner and have been since I was in elementary school. I currently run Varsity Cross Country and Track at Conifer High School in Colorado. In addition, I have consistently participated in local 5k and 10k races and have done 6 half marathons in my off-season. I appreciate the individual challenge of running cross country and I also appreciate the team aspect of the sport. I enjoy being part of a team of people that are dedicated to improving their physical and mental capabilities through running, just like me.

I am passionate about both athletics and academics. I am very interested in majoring in Marine Biology and am looking for a school that aligns with my academic interests while also advancing my running career.
