Personal Statement
When I get to college I want to major in sports medicine concentrating on physical therapy so that I can help young athletes succeed in their sport. My goal is to emphasize on physical therapy, and in the future open my own business. I'm a hard worker, and a team player. I feel I would be a great asset to your track program given the opportunity.
As far as my academics, I chose to transfer schools after the State Championship in 2017. This move afforded me smaller class sizes and I was able to significantly increase my GPA, and I completed my senior course work in about 6 months. I have completed my course work and have a final GPA of 1.8. Unfortunately the school I transferred to does not participate in sports so I am not able to participate in a high school Spring track program this year.
I am eager to get back on the track. The track is calling me and I must answer. I recently started working with a private trainer to make up for the time I won’t be able to participate in school sanctioned events and training. I start back competing in Summer Track with The Heat Track Club on May 12 at the Jackrabbit Sapphire Invitational in Lawrenceville, GA.
My availability to visit schools is open, and I will not need any written excuses. Please note that I am financially dependent on seeking athletic scholarships, financial aid and grants. My freshman year FASFA amount is a total of $5500. My athletic goal is to participate in multiple events if possible.
My parents and I appreciate your consideration in choosing me for your track program. I am available through NCSA, phone, and email. Hope to hear from you soon.
