Tyler Beck '15 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Senior at New Hampstead High School. I've been through a lot of adversity. I'm deaf, I've been hit by a car before, been through my mother and father's tough divorce, been through a very tough breakup, etc. But I have never let the negative stuff in my life hold me back. I focus on the positive. My dream is to go to college with a full scholarship for track and cross country. My events are the 5K, 1600m, and 3200m run. My best time at the 5K is 17:29, which was in the GA Region 1 AAA Cross Country Championship. I finished in 9th place. My personal best for the 1600m run is 4:44 in the 3rd Annual Tiger Relays at Bradwell Institute 3/21/15. I finished 3rd. I know my times are not necessarily the best, but I am a hard worker who sets a good example for teammates. I am a smart individual, as I have a 90.5 GPA, and my character is high. I can understand where people are coming from. I believe with the proper training, I will be successful at cross country and track & field in college.
