Personal Statement
As I began running I learned quick that you have to put in a lot of work and training to get out even the slightest success. Realizing that is what transformed my training routine and work ethic. I became interested in running from a very young age. Visiting my grandpa at work I would see pictures of his cross country teams holding up trophies, having a coach as my grandpa helped begin my love for running. However it was on my own where I really began finding a love for running. The most important skill I have learned so far from cross country and track is to always give everything you've got. Even if you are running alone somewhere you can't take it easy, because that will lead you down a path to not giving maximum effort. As high school continues I would like to raise my GPA as much as possible and work on study skills that can help me throughout life. In college however I would like to start off strong freshman year with above a 3.5 and continue to grow as I begin to study for what I want to do the rest of my life. Throughout my high school career I have always tried to build everyone up and lead everyone to better themselves in everything they do.
