Personal Statement
I am searching for a university where I can both compete at a high level and make a contribution to the team as well as receive an incredible education. I would like to be a part of a program with a coach that can help me achieve my full potential. I have a competitive nature which I showcase in athletics as well as in the classroom. I will do anything it takes to succeed. As a rookie this season I knew I had a lot to learn. Being a soccer player my whole life I knew how to run but the blocks and form were different than I was used to. I stayed after practice every day during the indoor season doing 20-25 starts in order to be more than ready for the outdoor season.
Not only do I work to better myself on the track but I also work to better my community. I have served over 150 service hours majority of which I spent working with children with mental and physical disabilities. I plan on atleast doubling my service hours over the summer. Another passion of mine is art. I have been in advanced art classes since middle school and am currently engaged in AP drawing and painting at the high school. I would like to atleast minor or double major with some sort of art degree coupled with a major in business.
