Personal Statement
My name is Anthony Bello. I have run track for the last 6 years. I began in 7th grade and ran for James Hart Junior High, Homewood, IL. I am in my Senior year running for the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings/Maximum Quotient Track Club. I placed 18th place in the 100m dash in middle school for the IESA state championships. In my freshman year of high school, my personal bests were 11.31 in the 100m and 22.94 in the 200m. I qualified for the IHSA state championships in the 4x200m relay. In my Sophomore year, my personal bests were 11.10 in the 100m and 22.38 in the 200m. Again, I qualified for the IHSA state championships in the 4x200m relay. In 2015, I helped my sprint relays qualify for IHSA state in the 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m. With a 49.4 split I helped my team earn 4th place in the 4x400m with a time of 3:17.43. My current personal bests are: 60m: 6.99, 100m: 10.98, 200m: 22.03, and 400m: 50.06. I currently have a 3.43 GPA and scored a 29 on the ACT. I am a very hard working man on and outside the track and plan to push myself to be the best athlete and person I can be.
