Personal Statement
Trey is a distance runner. In cross country he placed 2nd in both county and conference behind the Illinois state champion both his freshman and sophomore years. He placed first in county and conference his junior year. This year placed 3rd in Regional, 5th in Sectional and 21st at State in XC. His goal is to continue distance running and setting new PRs. Trey also plays soccer and played Varsity 3 years and was a starter as a sophomore and junior . His older sister, Lauren Houmes, ran for Bradley University in Peoria, IL as a distance runner. Trey is a team player, perhaps the most impressive performance was his anchor leg in the 4x400 when he improved his 400 time by 4 seconds to pass competing teams to get his team mates to qualify for state after he had just ran the mile and qualified himself. He is a competitor with a good attitude, good team leadership and good sportsmanship.
