I honestly do not have much experience with track and field considering I have only participated in one season. Although, simply using my athleticism I was able to qualify for four events at the state level. I exceeded expectations on my team throughout the season. I was originally supposed to be a sprinter but my coach thought It'd be a good idea to consider long jumping and/or triple jumping (I still continued to run the open 400 meter and was the last leg of the 4x400 meter relay) I sure am glad he did because my life would be totally different than it is today. Ever since the end of last track season I have been going to the gym and working out, watching videos trying to master my technique, and practicing every day. Growing up in "the county" tucked away in Northern Maine has taught me a lot about work ethic and determination. Only being able to compete during one season because of the snow makes it hard to adjust to different situations but I believe that I will adapt quickly to the collegiate level. With two years left I am determined to become a state champion in at least one of my events. If you have read this far I want to sincerely thank you and please consider making me a member of your track and field team.
Sincerely, Caleb Trombley
