Personal Statement
Dear College Coaches,
I have always had a strong passion for running and I want to take it to the next level, being the youngest in my grade and starting earlier I have to work a lot (Suppose to be a freshman). My ultimate goals and aspirations are to run at the collegiate level at the highest division I can achieve. I am a hardworking and determined person I strive for the best until the best can be better. I don't quit until I finish the job, no matter what it takes. This doesn't only go for sports but for education too. I like too challenge myself, right now I´m taking all honors classes and currently are in high honors with a 4.0 GPA. I also participate in student council and various community service projects with my school and play varsity tennis and run track and filed during the winter(Sprints). I like to try new things and I love being busy even when it means that I have to put extra work in. I am very interested in the medical field and I want to continue learning about this and practicing this throughout college. I like to have a little of everything on my plate and be well-rounded.
I also love giving back and spreading the sport of running. I went to the 2019 Lion's XC Camp at Columbia University, Located in New York City. I gained so much valuable knowledge about the sport of running and tips on how to become a more effective runner. I started teaching my teammates what I learned and we ended up incorporating the methods I learned into our daily stretches. I also started a weekly youth running group for the younger kids in 6th and 7th grade that we're unable to participate in any sports because of COVID-19. Each week I meet up with them and teach them about stretching, running, and conditioning to give them some more insight into the sport.
