Personal Statement
My goal; my goal is to become the best jumper possible. I am dedicated to putting in the hours of hard work to get to the next level. I started my first year of jumping at 5’ 2” and was able to accomplish finishing the season at 5’ 8”. Both seasons I competed for high jump I did qualify for regionals. I’ve worked harder and smarter, my junior year, academically with a couple of honors courses as well as an AP course. Finding the balance between school and sports isn’t always easy but more and more I’m finding my way. Transferring for my junior year, I was impressed as I read through my schools code of conducts and their expectations for their athletes. Fully understanding that both in and out of uniform, I am a representation of my family, my school, my community and I do so proudly. I realize that I have started the recruiting process late, but never the less I still want to pursue playing competitive athletics. I am also open to explore many opportunities no matter the division. I am open to any region in the United States. However, I would prefer rural, quiet areas where it can give me the perfect mindset to train. I would prefer a medium/large school, but I still keep an open mind to all colleges. I do intend on applying for financial aid when I apply. I would like to major in Psychology or something related to this field. Regardless whether the college I attend be Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, NAIA or JC..my overall goal is to qualify for any level NCAA championship.
