Personal Statement
Running has taught me that I can accomplish anything with hard work and dedication - in the classroom and in athletics. What makes me a good candidate? My biggest strength is my leadership by example. I always give my very best, which motivates people around me to be their best. I know I will be an asset and positive impact on your team in anyway I can be. What makes me different? Very few athlete will give up a sport they love to pursue a sport they have never done before. In 10th grade, I made a personal decision to quit soccer and join cross country in order to be the best I can be for Track season. Ever since, I have been committed to becoming the best runner I can be. I know that pursuing running in college will help me with whatever career I choose. While I am currently unsure of a career path I would like to pursue, careers such as business and physical therapy are what I am most interested in at this time. What I am confident of is my desire to be my very best and to represent any University I end up at with pride and commitment.
