Jared McLean '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jared Mclean. I am currently a 11th grader at Charlevoix High School in Michigan. I am on the varsity football team and a member of the Varsity track team. I am looking for a school that is competitive but also has a great education opportunity. I run all events up to the 400 meter dash. 

Athletics have always played an important part in my life. I played soccer through my eighth grade year, but did not feel fully challenged. I took a leap and decided to try out for the football team my freshman year. I fell in love with the game. I had to prove myself on and off the field. By the end of the season I was starting and looked at as a rolemodel for my team.

Along with playing ball I attend Charlevoix High School where I maintain a high grade point average. I am taking both AP and honor courses this year. I am also a member of the Leadership Committee. In this group we work with our school administrators to create a safe and inviting environment for our student body.

My goal is to attend college to further my education for my future. My dream would be to play at a collegiate level in either football or track. 

My drive to better myself pushes me to be the best person I can be and my family motivates me to be a well rounded individual who takes nothing for granted.
