I have been running track since 7th grade and I have always loved it. When I began my high school season I was drawn even more to track and field. Through the years I've noticed some of my peers start to branch off into different sports, but I always stayed with Track because all I wanted to do was to get better and better. I have qualified and competed in the Jr. Olympics 5 years and a row. Even though I have qualified I have never placed -until this year. My team took 5th place in the 4x800 relay for 17-18 age group. Although my times weren't the best the passion and determination I have for track and field is what is going to propel me to the next level. This year I will be implementing a proper diet and begin strength and conditioning during my off season. If I want to compete on the collegiate level I am now going to start training my mind and body as if I am already on that level. Academically my freshman year was rough for me, but through the years I have gotten stronger in my core classes and I plan to continue to raise my G.P.A.
