My life long passion for running finally had a purpose the spring of my freshman year when I made the varsity track team at my high school. Ever since then, I have dreamed of the possibility of competing at the collegiate level. I have been doing everything I can to make that dream a reality.
I have strived in the classroom to maintain a high GPA and to be an example and leader to my peers. In doing so I was nominated by my principal and accepted to be a participant in the esteemed People to People Leadership Summit at Stanford University.
I work hard at every opportunity I have to improve my athletic abilities and will continue doing so until I overcome all of my obstacles and reach my full potential. I value and listen to all of the advice that I have received from my coaches and peers and will continue to do so in the future. I welcome the opportunity to be a leader when I need to be, but am also a great supporter and follower of my peers. These characteristics are what make me a great team player.
I want to attend a college that will push me to the maximum of my ability both academically and athletically. I look forward to future relationships and conversations with recruiters, coaches, and student athletes that I will meet in the future. Thank you for your time and consideration.
