Jacob Decker '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been running since Junior High. At that time I never saw myself becoming a competitive runner, but that changed when I joined the high school cross country team freshman year. Since then I have been running to reach my goal of running in college.
I’ve ran year round during throughout high school, but starting my Junior year, I’ve been running with a private coach on the off seasons. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working and most committed recruits you’ll find.
I am just as hard working in the classroom as I am in running, maintaining a high GPA every year.
I want to attend a college that has the best competition for me. I want to push myself in the classroom and in running, but I am still open to all options. I am hoping, throughout my college career, that I will become better as a person, and also as a role model and a leader.
