Personal Statement
I started running when I came into my freshmen year at Fort Zumwalt North. At that time I didn't know running would require much more from me than just running. Running has tested my work ethnic, and my character. Resulting in having a work ethnic that goes beyond just running and pushing others either on my team or in the classroom because I want to help everyone accomplish something they deemed impossible or they couldn't do.
As a student athlete I know school comes first before sports, knowing that I try to maintain around a 3.4 GPA each quarter. I don't take any AP classes so my GPA is not weighted. The work ethnic I developed from running has transferred over to school work as a example math used to be a weak class for me but now it's one of my best classes.
My dream since freshmen year when I saw running as something more for me, is to run in the collegiate level against some of the best runners in the country. What makes me a good candidate is that I'm a hard worker and will work for my goals as well as being a leader by example. I will push my teammates for the best out of them and show them what they can do beyond what they thought. What makes me different from other recruits I would say is my drive and hunger to be better than yesterday; to put myself one step ahead of other runners.
