Lincoln Young '18 Recruiting Profile

I love track and field, and it is my dream to compete in college.  I have an deep love of engaging myself not only physically, but intellectually as well, and I am looking forward to the challenges that college will afford to me.  I have had a very active upbringing as well as two very athletic parents.  That along with a short history of gymnastics meant that I gravitated immediately to pole vault.  I love the adrenaline that comes from the sport, as well as the purity of the motion.  When I look at my improvement over the last two years with pole vault, it astounds me: my freshman year was spent learning how to get off the ground, and I PR'd at 9'; by the end of my sophomore year I had vaulted 13'6".  I am continuing to enjoy my studies and my training and am hoping for a great Junior season!
