Personal Statement

I think that I would make a good candidate for a college team because I bring many things other than talent to the table. While on a team I not only like to raise their standings in regards to competition, but also in regards to representation. I am an athlete who likes to try my hardest to represent my school in a professional manner. I also like to compete with class and show that my school only allows well behaved and sports man like athletes to compete. On a college team I would also like to bring in a new sense of culture and support to the team. As a teammate I like to provide my peers with someone that they can talk to and depend on to be there when needed. That is why I think that I would be a good fit on most any college team.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • great southwest out door track and field
  • 6/03/16 to 6/04/16
  • I ran the 2000m steeplechase I had a bad day but other than that I can say that it was a good experience. I also ran the 3200m which was also a good training key for me to use after coming out of a hard and short mandatory JV season.
  • Camp/Event
  • Great Southwest Indoor Invitational
  • 2/13/16 to 2/13/16
  • I was planning on racing the 1600m and the 3200m but they were to close. They were within a single event of each other. So I scratched the 1600 and ran the 3200 with the gun going off at 11:00pm and I came in second with a time of 10:26.36.
  • Camp/Event
  • USATF Region 16 Regional Meet
  • 11/21/15 to 11/21/15
  • At the Regional level I came in 6th with a time that was a little slow due to the course being a slower one and my XC season being a bit long
  • Camp/Event
  • New Mexico 3-AAA State Track Meet
  • 5/08/15 to 5/09/15
  • This was the first time I was a state qualifier and I was third out of my opponents my only competitors were all Seniors

Training

  • My training schedule goes; Long run Mondays (10miles), Hard work out Teusdays(speed), Recovery Wednesdays, Hard work out Thursdays(endurance), Pre meet Fridays.
  • 4 years
  • This schedule has kept in not only in good shape but also healthy and injury free for the time being. This is all thanks to the good coaches that I have.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
