After joining my middle school track team 8 years ago, I have been committed to the sport. Currently a senior at the Lawrenceville School, I have earned Varsity letters every year in high school and now serve as the team's jump captain. The ideal college for me excels academics and has a strong sense of community, whether if it is through sports or other activities. I aim to pursue studies associated with Economics, and would like to explore areas that I have not experienced, such as filmography.
Outside of track, I have pursued extra-curricular activities that have shaped me into both a leader and a member of a community. From student government to model united nations and the news club, I have explored a wide variety of interests and acquired roles of leadership. Above all, though, I take pride in contributing a friendly undertone to anything I am a part of. Bridging rifts between peers and making my teams work cohesively are some of the valuable aspects I can bring to a college campus and athletic team.
Academically, I consistently challenge myself with rigorous classes and shape my schedule to my areas of interest. Whenever possible, I take Honors and AP level classes and concentrate on a well-balanced, yet with a concentration in my passions, schedule. Despite switching from one academically intense school (Montgomery High School) to another during my junior year, I have maintained high marks in all of my classes. The two main reasons for my transfer highlight what I value in a college-- academic variety and athletic excellence. The Lawrenceville School has given me opportunities to select classes that are closely related to my desired majors in addition to allowing me more chances to jump during the winter season due to the personal indoor track.
