Personal Statement
Dear Coach,
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a hard working athlete in my 5th year of running cross country and track. As an 8th grader I placed first in the indoor Northeast National Qualifier in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:17. I have also placed no worse then 10th place in the nine club/ middle cross country races I have entered. The thing I am most proud of is that I qualified twice for the National Jr. Olympics for track in both the 800 and 1500 meter races.
I like to compete at a high level and I am very interested in a college that can challenge me to push myself. I would also like a coach that can get the best out of me and teach me how I can get better. I am a dedicated runner and I know I can contribute greatly to any team that chooses me. In fact I was chosen most dedicated and given a plaque by my eigth grade coach for being a leader on the team.
