I closed my cross country 2023 season by participating in States with my team on November 4, 2023 at Ivey Redmon, Kernersville, NC. I did the 5000 in 17:43:91.
My next goal was to run the Holly Springs half marathon November 18, 2023. I timed at 1:22:05, placing me 3rd out of 437 runners and 1st in my age group.
I have been running cross country since middle school and made it to States all three years. I knew the minute that I started running on the cross country team that I had found my passion.
Cross country and track have become as important to me as my studies throughout my high school journey. I evolve into a better, faster runner every season that I compete. I pride myself that I have held varsity status since my sophomore year. I enjoy the bond and support I share in being a top runner on my team.
I have accomplished another goal. I ran the 1600 at the Patriots Innivational on March 16, 2024 in 4:52:64, getting under the 5 minute mark. I’m confident that I will continually reduce my times due to training at the gym and following my coaches individualized plan. I always look forward to practice and meets after school.
I can’t wait to continue running at the college level in the Fall of 2024! Check out all of my stats on MileSplit.
