Personal Statement
Hello My name is Jimmy Withers. I am a well rounded student and athlete. I am a senior in High school and have played Football, Basketball, and Track all 4 years. I have been playing competitive sports since I was 5 years old. I am always team captain or co-captain. I have the ability to motivate my team and keep them focused. During high school summers, I would organize scrimmages at the field. This would keep my team conditioned and prepared for the upcoming year. I would also organize team workouts at the gym. I am almost 18 years old and have never touched a drop of alcohol. I have no desire to consume any substances that could interfere with me reaching my athletic goals, as well as my life goals. I am very focused and driven. I am very well known and liked in my community. I volunteer my time at a number of community functions and charity events. My parents are always being told how good they have done raising me. I am respectful and kind. I am excited about moving forward into a college environment. I know I would be an asset to any team. I have only taken my ACT's one time, but I am retaking them February 7th and again in March. My track times are from my Junior year, and I will be getting more current times in the upcoming weeks.
