Running hurdles is my passion. I work hard and train year round to improve my form and raw speed. My dream is to run for a college program that is competitive, yet cohesive. I treat my track team like my family, and work hard with every member in order to succeed as a whole. There is always room for me to improve as I work well with coaches to fix and improve my running form constantly. I hope to find a collegiate track program that can help me develop my potential and become a top runner.
In the past 2014 indoor and outdoor seasons, I won the Most Improved award. My times improved from moderately fast, to highly competitive and the best in the county or section. During the outdoor 2014 season, I won my county championships in the 110HH with a personal best of 15.09s. Later at the section 9 state qualifier, I went on to qualify for states with a winning time and personal best of 14.97s.
In the academic world I am a straight honors student with a weighted average of 98. I personally enjoy math and science classes as I will be taking AP Physics and AP Calculus throughout my senior year. I am a member of the NHS and also was awarded the Sojourner Truth Award for mathematics.
