S.I RELAYS 2015 B...Personal Statement
My name is Justin Muccio; I'm senior at St. Peter's Boys H.S. on Staten Island. I'm very passionate about my family, academics, track and my future.
My parents have provided me with a good foundation where I've learned about being responsible, having a strong work ethic, morals, perseverance and giving back to others and my community. This foundation will help me reach my dreams, goals and aspirations.
At St. Peter's I'm enrolled in the scholars program were I have career G.P.A of 3.6. I’ve made the honor roll every quarter of my high school career. I scored a 1730 on S.A.T. with a 1210 on the critical two part.
The next chapter of my academic and athletic career will be in college. I would like to attend a college which will challenge me academically and athletically. I'm looking for a good fit just like at St. Peter's, a second home. I would like to study Criminal Justice and Psychology which will help me pursue a career in one of the two fields. I would like to compete in a competitive college track program.

- In an effort to continue the proper way of promoting baseball to the New York City Community, the leadership of the NYC –Varsity League has formed an advisory committee with members that range from Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, New York Professional Baseball Scouts Association, Big East Conference, (CUNY) City University of New York, (PSAL) Public School Athletic Association, (CHSAA) Catholic High School Athletic Association, (PSAA) Private School Athletic Association, and the Greater New York Sandlot Athletic Association to coordinate, and promote annual fall league play to best showcase New York City talent in a professional development & educational program. Notable names such as Joe Torre, John Franco, Willie Randolph, Shawon Dunston, Rich Aurillia, Jason Marquis, John Halama, Pedro Beato, Manny Ramirez, Frank Mennichino, and a host of others all began play on the fields of New York City before making it to Major League Baseball. By creating this league, it will give Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors an opportunity to play amongst the best in the city, without the expense of travelling to other states. In addition it will strengthen the brand of baseball within the city and give young players a goal to strive for each year. Coaches will be chosen based on past history of professional baseball experience. henceforth giving the selected 100 players insight on the preparation it takes to become a well rounded player at the next level.
