Personal Statement
I have been fortunate to train in such a small school with talented athletes that not only make each other better, but are supportive at each event. I have been fortunate to have a skilled coach who trains me to better my skills and to set goals.
As an athlete, I am coachable because I follow direction from my coach and I watch and learn from other athletes, not only from my own team, but from other school districts and those I have connections with from summer training at Aim High Running Camp. I am serious, dedicated, and hard-working. Each race is a new challenge to me, never just another race. I have high standards for myself and run with goals set in my mind. To watch me, you might find my form to be questionable at times, but I push through every race.
As a student, I always complete my work and seek help from teachers. My grades are a priority and I work hard to maintain them.
As a college athlete, I look forward to the opportunity to learn, have great moments of success, and to be an important member of a team that only accepts and strives to be the top team.
