Personal Statement
My goal in college is to study in the field of pre-medical and graduate as a nurse practitioner. Becoming a nurse practitioner would help build the foundation that I need to then further my collegiate education and take steps to becoming a doctor. As a student – athlete I have a strong core in educational values, knowing eventually sports will end. Sports help develop and promote character traits, team building and inner personal skills that are needed in both athletics and personal development. I’ve learned the importance of time-management, perseverance, competitiveness, and a strong work ethic will further help me at a collegiate level and bring success later on in life. I would be an excellent candidate for any team as I understand the importance of team work, preparation through film analysis, and embracing discipline. I’m coachable, and understand that a team has a pursuit of a common goal. As a vaulter, I compete for the love of pole vault, working through challenges and perfecting technique to continually striving for higher heights.
