Personal Statement

My name is Jared Frankland and I am a high school senior graduating in May 2017. I am very interested in running at the collegiate level. I have been training since 7th grade and I am very passionate about running.

I am in my 4th year of running for the Norton High School Varsity Cross Country team and have been captain of the cross country team for my Sophomore, Junior and Senior year. I have won 2nd team PTC honors (Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years), 1st team PTC honor my Senior year and have also been a regional qualifier my junior and senior years.

I also run varsity track, where I was the 2016 District Championship in the Mile this past 2016 season.

I was recently inducted into the National Honor Society. I look forward to continuing my education as an Engineering major and running at the college level.
