Personal Statement
My name is Bryce Goulet and my passion is discus. I began throwing in eighth grade after moving back to the states from the Virgin Islands. Up to this point I have mainly been coached by my dad, who also threw competitively in high school. I lift weights all year and even have a ring painted on my driveway so I can practice throwing any time. While I have continued to improve each year, even ending up 11th in the state as a sophomore, I am not done learning. Because I am coachable and driven to success, I will improve.
In addition to track, I also work hard and enjoy time with friends. I am big hearted, always ready with a smile or a laugh, and sincerely enjoy helping others. While I have not yet chosen a profession, I know that with my personality and intellect, I will be a leader in whatever field I choose.
I am looking for the college who can provide not only the best athletic coaching, but also the best academic guidance. I truly believe that I will be a great asset to any university and would love the opportunity to prove it to you.
