Albert Hesse '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Albert Hesse, and I am a runner, how crazy is that! I enjoy running like nobody else and I do it purely for fun and enjoyment., but of course I enjoy the wins too!  When I run I feel like I have so much freedom, I let out all my tensions in my body, and just let my thoughts flow. Long distance is my favorite because I find it easy to sustain energy and find that I don't let anxiety get to me. Other than that, I like all competition and when it comes to pain I find pleasure in it because I know I can push through it and I know I'm doing what I love and getting better and winning!

I started running when I was in 6th grade in Colorado where the first time out on the track I tried the mile and broke the school record and have loved it ever since.  Although I participate in many other sports, there is truly no other sport  for me than running. I like to be very active and try new things like other sports and participate in them, but I have shown the best outcomes in running. I am currently competing in cross-country skiing which is improving my strength and aerobics for the track season and competing with the top in the state. There is always room for improvement for me and I'm the one person that can endure it and push myself to be better.
