Personal Statement
I am a highly motivated young athlete who has dedicated much of my competitive life to excellence. I have been participating in competitive sports since the 1st grade with football, wrestling, track and Lacrosse. I lettered in all 4 sports my Freshman and Sophomore years. I have made honor roll every marking while doing so. I love the feeling I get when I not only meet my goals but exceed them beyond my dreams. I work hard, training every day and while the sweat and pain can be grueling, I find a sense of pride when that hard work pays off. Within the last two years I have found a love for lacrosse that I have never experienced before. The discipline, mental and physical control that this sport demands has focused my entire outlook on life. Through lacrosse I have discovered that nothing is beyond my reach when I apply the same focus to everything as that perfect game. This new found fire has awaken me to a whole new world of possibilities and dreams. Foremost of those dreams is to take my skills and talents to that next competitive level in collegiate athletics. I know everyone dreams of playing college sports, but this is more than a dream for me. It is and will be my reality. There are many hurdles and high marks I want to achieve on my way to making this dream happen to include qualify for districts and states during the next two years of high school. However, these are superficial to the other goals I have for my life. Since I was young my parents have instilled in me an awareness that a college education will open doors for me and provide an opportunity to achieve success.
My professional dream is to one day either work in Business management or Accounting because I love math or share my love of math by becoming a teacher.
