Jayron Anglin '19 Recruiting Profile

Focus, hard work and determination are three words that define everything I do in life. Sports have always played an important part of my life. Every since I was 5 years old, football and track have been a pivotal aspect of my day to day routine.  My dad coached my PeeWee football team and taught me the values and morals needed to succeed while playing junior high and high school football.  My school coaches have also played a valuable part in my trainings to become a better athlete., friend, mentor, and leader. Outside of school, I have represented my city at the regional and state levels in track and field. I have gained leadership skills and have matured in the game of football as well as on the track. If given the opportunity to continue toward my goal of achieving excellence not only in the classroom but also on  the track, would be an amazing opportunity for me. My favorite quote comes from Bobby Knight, "The key is not the will to win… everybody has that. It is the will to prepare to win that is important.”
