I inspire to be one of the best student athletes in the nation. Being a student athlete means the most to me by putting hard work in during practice and putting even harder work in the classroom. This is something I am proud of and that my teachers and coaches frequently let me know they see in me as well. I have been running competitive track since 6th grade and running summer track with TAAF 8th-10th grade years. I qualified for state in Texas all the summer seasons. I also qualified and placed at the first two summer state meets I competed in. I wasn’t able to attend the last summer state meet but did qualify to compete there. I have also played football since 7th grade and play as outside and inside linebacker. However, my passion is track and more specifically hurdles. I don’t give up easily and have a strong ethic of working hard in order to achieve success both in the classroom and in athletics. Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile.
Update: I had to have an emergency appendectomy the week of the first track meet of this last season and was out this track season because of that. I am still showing great ability in maintaining the ability to three step since my freshman year, even though I was not able to run this past spring. However, due to my illness during track season my times listed may not be a fair assessment. I have currently been medically cleared to go back to athletics and am finishing up 7 on 7 summer football. I am also required to do off season weights, running and conditioning at my high school 4 days a week for the upcoming varsity football season and am currently doing that to remain in shape. Once again thank you for your time in viewing my profile and I appreciate any consideration for running track at the collegiate level.
