Personal Statement
I fell in love with running at a young age, constantly pushing myself to strive for my goals, and I'm still surprising myself today with what I have achieved. I have always dreamed to run in college and now that's almost reality. College just seems like the next step in training where I can truly excel in my athletic performance in any event from the mile to the 10k. Since middle school when I started running competitively, I have gained so much experience in running, competing in national meets against the best. In high school, though, I really put everything into running, going for runs daily no matter the conditions, watching my diet, and doing strength training. In the classroom, I put in just as much effort. I have been in honors classes all my life, making high A's in almost every class. My dad always said that "school comes before running", so I always tried my hardest to do my best in school.
