My goal as an athlete is to become a decathlete in college. I have competed in track since the 3rd grade in T.A.A.F summer track through the San Angelo Rec Center. In summer track, I have competed in the 800m, 80m hurdles, 110 hurdles, 300m hurdles, high jump, long jump, discus, shot put, pole vault, and mile relay. The highlight of my career would be my Junior year track season. I tore my ACL the meet before district going over a hurdle (finished the race) and continued to vault and throw shot all the way to State. Even though I was physically injured, I never quit because I knew my track team needed me. We ended up winning the 2016 state meet with 90 points (to tie a meet record).
