I want to compete in Track at the college level. I am not focused on the Division level as much as I am about finding a great Nursing program, a great Middle Distance team and an inspiring Coach.
I have competed in State Championships in Track and Cross County, the AAU Junior Olympics, and the AAU Club Championships. I have the experience and confidence to qualify and compete at the largest Track events against the best runners in my region, and nationally. I have also run indoor track for the past two winter seasons.
I was just named to the 2014 "Best of Preps" for the AAA High School All Metro team after winning numerous races in 2014 including the 800M Shelby County Championship, and qualifying for State. For the 3rd consecutive year I was awarded Middle Distance Runner of the Year for my high school team.
My 2015 Track goal is to win Tennessee AAA State Championships in 800M. My 2015 goal is to run sub- 1:55 in the 800M, sub 50:00 in the 400M, and a sub 4:15 in 1500M.
I run cross country for strength and conditioning and my times are not the best. However I am a strong enough distance runner that I can contribute to a Cross Country team in College. I am most proud of winning the Leadership award for my high school cross country team.
This summer (2014), in addition to the open 800M and 1500M, I am on a regional AAU All Star 4 X 800 team. We will race the best 4x800 teams in the U.S. at the AAU Club Championships in Orlando!
I have a 3.6 GPA. I am fluent in Spanish. I was selected for a HOSA internship for the 2015 school year that will provide a great learning opportunity at a local Hospital.
