I'd like to thank you for taking a moment to view my profile and allowing me the opportunity to give a brief insight of who I am. I firmly believe in a solid academic background, as it is a stepping stone for greater achievements in life. Although my transcripts reflect my dedication to education, it fails to encompass my enthusiasm towards being a strong leader in my community. It is through service that a leader truly understands what is meant to lead others which is why I dedicate a lot of additional hours (above what is required) of my time in community service projects and volunteer work. It is my ultimate goal to obtain a 4-year degree and then serve my country as a Marine Corps Officer.
My life-long commitment to physical fitness has enabled my ability to push myself to higher limits in athletics both mentally and physically. Long Distance/Cross Country is where my athletic strengths lie; however, I was recently awarded 2 Metals for Physical Fitness Achievement on a Regional Level for ranking #3 in the Military Cadence Sit-ups category and #4 in Military Cadence Push-ups category. My fastest official timed mile was 5:19; however, I have broken this record during numerous runs. My training in NJROTC has taught me to keep pushing myself physically and mentally.
In summary, I believe that high academic scores and strong athletic abilities are beneficial, but it's one's moral character and values that make a person successful not only in school but also in life. If given the chance to represent your University, I will make it an upmost priority to uphold the principles and standards of your University with high academics, strong athletic ability, and an unwavering moral compass.
