Growing up, I was always doing some sort of physical activity, whether it was throwing the ball with my dad or running around with my brother. I have always liked running because most games I played as a kid involved running. This passion blossomed when I joined Track & Field my seventh grade year. I instantly fell in love with the sport. When I run I feel like I cannot be stopped. Every day since 7th grade I've been on a mission, to run fast. That mission has led me to improving monumentally each year in the sport I love. I have competed in the sport both in school and nation wide through United States of America Track and Field. I have made regionals for my school. Another accomplishment I have is through the USATF. I made it to the nationals and competed with some of the best in the nation, twice. Track has changed my life for the better. I have learned that if you want something and put in maximum effort, you will have success.
From an academics standpoint, I have always been interested in learning. I like solving puzzles and figuring out how and why things work. For this reason, engineering has caught my eye as a potential choice of major for college. My end goal for college is to apply my degree in such a way that I will be helping mankind. I will utilize my time to learn and grow as a person in college to help reach my goal.
I am willing to work hard for what I am chasing, no matter how hard it gets.
