Personal Statement
My main goal, as always, is to be a collegiate athlete. My team experienced a major coaching staff change my freshman year, and I was worried about the change of coaching coming to our school. Because of this, I sought out a personal trainer to help enhance my ability to run. This has helped me to become a better teammate, and also, make my team better. As I mature I wanted to get more serious in the sport of distance running. After making regionals my sophomore year while playing football, I realized I could be a competitive runner with additional effort and training. I made regionals again my junior year, and during the off season I train with a running club. Another goal of mine to get a degree in Engineering, and become a Petroleum Engineer. I am currently a member of the National Honor Society, and maintain a GPA of a 3.77. I help out with my church by being a member of Youth Council Leadership. I believe this experience makes me a leader and devoted teammate.
