Personal Statement
I believe that my drive to become the best athlete that I can be surpasses that of others. I played football 5 years of my life and when I broke my leg and couldn't play anymore I did the next best thing I knew I was good at, track. Most people would just give up on sports after breaking a leg, but I saw it as a reason to do another one. My ambitions toward academics and athletics are higher than ever because now, my senior year, I'm starting to realize that my life is truly about to begin. So I will do whatever I can to make my dreams and goals a reality. With my father becoming very ill I started working a part-time a job to help pay for his medication and some household expenses. Balancing work, school, and athletics is not an easy task, but non the less I do what I have to do to my family first before myself.
