Sean Tully '15 Recruiting Profile

I am actively looking to join a competitive cross country program in the Fall of 2015 at a school which will allow me to develop as an athlete and provides a strong academic program to launch my future career.  I am ready to start my 3rd Cross Country Season (I am scheduled for 4 events within the next 2 and a half weeks) after spending my early years in sports playing soccer, lacrosse and football.  I tried spring track for the first time Freshman year and turned my sporting passion to running.  I completed my 2014 spring T&F season and achieved PR's in 1600 M and 3200 M after running indoor this past winter for the first time.

School work comes first in my life.  I entered Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School because of the challenging curriculum and have greatly enjoyed my time there.  My experience running and being a part of the JP Wolf Pack Team has enhanced my school experience.  I feel that the commitment and character running requires will directly help me excel in my school endeavors. Our 2014 T&F Season highlight was capturing 1st place as a team at the VA Catholic State Championship meet.

Personal highlights for me between 2012-2014, include running at the Varsity Level each season, Selection as Co-Captain for the 2012-13 and 2014 seasons and Selection for the 2013 John Paul Coaches award.  I look forward to continuing to improve my PR's in the 1600M, 3200M and 5K events in the year ahead.  My personal goals this year were to be below 4:40 in 1600M (Success at my last meet of the Spring!)  and this fall to be below 16:00 in the 5k.  GO WOLVES !!!!
