Personal Statement

My name is Ameer Veney and I am a senior at Northumberland High School in Heathsville, Virginia. I have a unique combination of sprinting and hurdling, but my top specialty is hurdling. I have achieved many athletic accomplishments during my career, notably a state championship title in the 110m hurdles as a junior, and also winning two state championship titles in the 4x400 (Junior) and the 4x100 (Sophomore). In the future I am aiming to accomplish even greater goals and my biggest one is succeeding at the college level.
