Personal Statement
I am passoinate about a few things. I love to work with my hands, draw, read about the great outdoors and study military weaponry. I have set a goal to become a Naval Aviator, following my father into the service of my country. Along the way to service, I would love to see where my manifested running abilities take me as well. I seem to have taken after my mother, who was a two time State Champion in the state of Illinois, and my uncle, who was a world class half-miler who was invited to the US Olympic trials of 1988. I have a competitive desire in every activity that I do....I desire to be the best and it shows in the way that I run. I was often out-classed in my first set of 6A High School meets for the indoor season. By the end of the outdoor season, I became the best in my conference of 6 teams and took 8th place in the super regional meet of 26 teams. I love to compete. I am going to continue competing through the summer, first at the Newbalance Freshmen Nationals, then sparingly on road races to prepare for an awsome Cross-Country season. Running is my talent, and I plan to see how far it takes me!
