My name is DeJon Mayo and I love to be challenged. I truly believe that the sky is the limit and that anything is possible if you dream and work hard enough. I believe in family first, followed by school and sports. I love to shine in my academics, which helps me focus more time on sports and becoming the best athlete I can be. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and plan on maintaining it. My goal is to go to college for free and make a name for myself in the world of collegiate sports. I value achievements that I have made and hope to continue pushing forward to become a better athlete and a better person. Since the start of my track career, I've always been a front-runner. This 2017 Outdoor track season I was able to continue that streak of improvement with a regional title in the triple jump and a conference title in the high jump. I also went on to claim 3rd place in Triple Jump at the state meet, as well as 7th in the high jump. I have so much room for improvement in my form alone. If I were to join a college team, I would not only be able to give my athleticism but my leadership skills as well. I have no problem with letting my voice be heard and helping the next guy.
My Junior year was not nearly as successful as I had hoped because of a pulled hamstring injury I was working through for the end of Indoor and all of Outdoor. My senior year, I'm going beast mode...........
