Personal Statement
My name is Craig James Allen known to everyone as CJ. I am a senior attending North Mason high school. Being physically active has been a part of my everyday lifestyle for the last 12 years. Between 8 years of baseball, 7 years of track, 7 years of basketball, 4 years of soccer, 3 years of football (including two first team all league awards for cornerback and kickoff returner as well as the best return average in Washington state in 2012), and 1 year of cross country. I have had the opportunity to experience many different scenarios in athletics making decisions about how I would like to compete at the next level straightforward. May 26, 2012 I won the 2A state track title in the 110 hurdlers with a time of 14.6. May 27, 2012 I took 2nd place by 2 hundreths of a second in the 300m I Hurdles with a time of 37.89 and 6 tenths of a second PR. I also run the 200m and anchor the 4X400m relay I aspire to be the first member of my family to go to college and earn a degree. Aside from the support of my parents I am motivated by the mistakes of myself and those around me. Watching talent get disregarded because of academic inadequecy or loss of preparation has been the greatest driving factor for me to push ahead and not only to attempt to reach my highest goals but succeed.
