Personal Statement
I have been an athlete since I entered school. I played soccer for 3 years, football for 9 and I've participated in track and field for 4 years. The lessons I've learned through these sports are ones I will carry with me for my life. I have learned hard work, dedication, persistence and teamwork. I lift weights in the morning before school starts, then I go to class for 7 hours and then I go to track workouts. The only requirement is school, the other two I do by my own will.
I am focused on achieving the goals I have for this season and wish to continue my track and field career as I move on to college. I am working to do everything in my power to get to the point where I can carry out my dream. Ever since I set my middle school's all time record in the long jump, I have been thirsting for more. I plan to bring this desire for excellence to the next level. I am interested in schools located in the Pacific Northwest, as I want to be close to my friends and family as I take the next steps in my life.
