Personal Statement

Throughout my life I have learned that challenges can be overcome by effort and dedication. I have had to work hard to achieve my success in the classroom and on race field. As a result, it is my value and expectation that I will always approach all parts of my life with an ethic of hard work and tenacity.
This approach applies to my class work where I am proud to take Honor and Advance Placement classes and maintain a 3.85 out of 4 GPA.
This ethic applies to every training run, every trip to the gym and every race.  I always want to maximize each workout and I encourage my team mates to do the same thing. Running year around is simply my expectation and joy.  The grind of distance runs is my thing, the longer and messier the better I like it.
Cross Country and Track are team sports but so is life.  I think that we all have a better chance of succeeding when we encourage each individual to do their best.  I want to be an integral part of a team that embodies this spirit.
My goal is to attend a college where I can get a quality education in science or engineering and be able to run competitively at a collegiate level.
If you want a team member who is out cheering on the rest of the team, working hard in every practice and every race event,  and who never gives up - then I am the guy for you.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
