I'm Stephan Hull, and I'm from Tacoma, Washington. Track and Cross Country have been my life since I was a freshman, when I was persuaded by my parents to join the sport of running. It's been a growing process, from the bottom of junior varsity to becoming team captain and the MVP.
However, my merits do not lie solely in running, but also in the classroom. Despite juggling seven AP classes over the past few years, I have managed a 3.76 cumulative GPA, and am ranked #13 in my senior class. In addition to this, I have served on the board of my school's National Honor Society chapter, and been a three-year participant.
In considering potential colleges, I definitely spend time researching their athletic programs, but the real focus is on eventually attaining the degree I desire, which is a Bachelor's in Computer Science (or Business/Global Affairs). I do believe that if I were to be recruited to a school, I could bring with me the experience of leading teams and maintaining a personal versatility over a range of running events (between 400m and 5000m). Plus, I enjoy team atmospheres and bonding with peers and colleagues, which is an aspect I will definitely miss upon leaving high school. Thus, I hope to relive and build anew the running and academic experiences I had in high school, but on a greater level.
